Product Review: Maybellines Falsies Mascara [Flared]

So i recently purchased the maybelline falsies mascara in the flared verision. i purchesed this because i already own 2 of the falsies version [blackest black and waterproof] so i decided to give this one a go. i have to say i don't really love it. it does all the other great things that the other two do, but no more then that. i could saved 7$ and not have bought this. yes it holds my curl amazingly well, as does the other two. and it doesn't flake or run or anything like that. but the reason i don't really like it is because of this reason: it is supposed to make your lashes 'flared' meaning starting from the inner corner of your eye your lashes are supposed to get 'longer' until it reaches the end of your lash line [does that make sense? can you picture it in your head?] well it most deff. does not do this. this mascara is for those of use who already have pretty thick lashes, it doesn't do a great job of making them thicker. but it does do a wonderful job making them longer. obviously it does not look like you have false eye lashes on, thats pretty easy to tell. i like this mascara for the simple fact that it does all of the other things that i love about the other mascaras in this collection [holds a curl, lasts all day, doesn't smudge, etc.] but as for the 'flared' part of it, not so much. do not purchase this product if you are hoping for a flared lash line, because this is not what you get. if you want a mascara that makes your lashes long, holds a curl, and lasts all day [waterproof] then just go buy [or stick with] the original version of this product and you will be happy =]
have a great day!

Just a normal chatty blog on a rainy day =D

hi all :)
so a first in my blog is just a chit chat that i wanted to do....kind just like a normal blog to let you know what is going on in my life ^_^
i have been dragging so much at work lately i think its time for a new job, i've been at this place for 2 years and i deff. like the power/senority that i have over people, and i don't want to start at the bottom again but i'm just over it and the drama that goes on in that place! i love waitressing but i don't know if i want to try something else yet. the one thing that holds me back from leaving is that i know that i have a secure job, and since i just got a new car i don't really want to risk it.
on my spare time when i'm not working, spending time with the boy, or youtubing/blogging i have been writing a book. if you can call it that. i had my fourtene told a few years ago [actually when i was a senior in highschool] and the lady told me that i was going to write a huge book one day and become rich. normally i would just say this is bull, but she had told me things that has happened so i don't know...the idea just kind of hit me and i've been going with it...we'll see where it goes...maybe i'll post a chapter on here to see what you think?
On another note, i cannot f-ing wait for tomorrow night at approximatly 12:01 am [so i guess really friday morning!] for the last part of HARRY POTTER!! omg it gets my heart pumping a little bit faster =D i'm going to be dead tired- i work a double tomorrow ugh!- but nothing will stop me from going, not even if i have to work at 5:30 the next morning! sure i'll be dead ass tired but who cares! its that last one forever. i have read all the books and have been a dedicated fan since the beginning i deserve this =]
soo thats all i feel about blogging about at the moment thanks for listening to me ramble tata

Being sick sucks...what i use to feel better

ugh i got sent home early from work because i feel like utter shit. [excuse my french] jeremy [my fiance] has been being a great nurse but the reason i hate being sick is because well for the obvious reasons. but also because it is so boring and you can't do anything! thank goodness for online shopping blogs and youtube videos =] as we speak i am uploading a video from a few days ago and i figured i would type up some half ass blog. i'm such a baby when i'm sick and i'm so grateful to have jeremy to take care of me. these are my essentials when i'm sick:

Of course i always need to be covered up, even when i'm burning up and i have jeremys nice fluffy blankets to keep me warm and to have his smell with me when i sleep =]

A good book to curl up with. on my way home from work i knew i would need somthing to read so instead of picking up a magazine that would only last me an hour or so. so i decided to pick up a good stephen king book. can't wait to start reading. although i do have an ebook there is nothing like curling up with a hard copy.

Cherry Carmex, my lips are so chapped and i love the normal carmex, but the cherry flavored is making me smile even though i feel like crap. its really moisturizing and is helping my lips heal.

Red Gatorade, love this stuff. i either drink this or gingerale but i usually choose this. it feels so good on my throat and tastes so good even when my taste buds aren't working correctly. i love water but when i'm sick it makes me gag.

Dayquil is what jeremy is feeding me and it always makes me feel better. i don't like nyquil because no matter how long i sleep i always feel drowsy. and i will probably have to work tomorrow so i don't want to be drowsy.

Chicken noodle soup. this is an obvious must. as we speak jeremy is upstairs making me some. i'm starving so i hope that i can keep this down.

so thats all for me loves, wish me well and keep me in your prayers! thanks for reading.

How TO Dress Like Mary Kate Olsen

Hi all :)
hope you have had a happy 4th. Me? Well, i spent my day working and then went to target to treat myself to working so hard that day. Then I came home and had a nice long glass of wine and set off huge sparklers with jeremy [my fiance] and abby [my sister and best friend] and off to bed it was for me, i'm a morning person not a night owl! so my family continued to set off a ton of fire works when i was conked out in bed.
Anywhoo on to my blog! I love mary kate olsen, i just get inspiried every time i look at her. she has impecciable style, even though some would LOVE to disagree. I do admit, somtimes she looks like a crazy lady that picked her clothes out of the dumpster, but there is almost always somthing that I love about her outfit. I decided to do this blog because as we speak i am uploading a makeup tutorial onto my youtube [purplepolkadots00] on a mary kate inspiried makeup tutorial. hope you check that out!
So, how would i described mary kate's style? she is very boho, but biker at the same time. tons of black, bangles, always so much jewlery, messy hair, outfits that look messy and yet put together at the same time. she is her own person, and always will be a person for inspiration.

So if you want to dress like ms. mary kate olsen that its really not hard. here are my tips and some pictures for inspiration:

1. oversized everything![duh!] wether its some bell bottoms or a huge chunky sweater, shirt, ring, pendant, etc. do it! i shy away from this trend since i am bigger and by wearing anything that is sooo oversized it just makes me look way larger. where as mary kate is basically a bag of bones, and nothing could make her look bigger.

2. black, mary kate does add a pop of color more then likely everytime. but there has been many a time where it has been a very black and black outfit. which is always stylish. if this is to extreme for you, but you like the idea then try the all black, but have the top have some type of color in it. or wear a nice red bag.

3. berets [am i spelling that right??] you know those little hats that you wear on the back of your head? i know you do! mary kate olsen loves these hats [as does my sister] and they are always a nice way to add some color to your outfit. i can't say that they keep you very warm, but they are always cute. you can try to pull them off in the summer, i never have tried but hey if you love it do it!

4. sunnies, as with everything else she loves very big sun glasses, these are the easiest to get your hands on and buy. just make sure that they still fit your face! her are always huge, round, and dark. this one style is what i use the most to incorperate mary kate into my outfit, because it is the easiest.

5. heels, i know i know they kill your feet [as they do mine] but very rarely will you see ms. olsen without them! she likes them with a very high heel [5inches anyone?] and in all kind of ways. i see her in black a lot, but not always. another shoe trend for her is the biker boot, this might be easier for some of you.

6. leather and fur. while i never wear fur, and hardly ever wear leather, there are some great faux options out there. you can always count on mary kate to have a fur vest, leather motorcycle jacket, or some leather leggings [well probably not leather but anways...], or even a fur/leather accessory. i don't bother with these much because i am into the whole animal cruelty, so i don't ever wear anything that even looks like its made out of fur. but if you are ok with it, try a fur vest. Rachel Zoe has some great ones in her brand that are faux.

7. jewlery, i have always noticed her jewlery always looking antique-y if you know what i mean. usually somthing black, but she does throw some color into it. she wears armloads of bangles or huge cocktale rings take up most of her fingers. huge pendants, or some fun chunky necklaces. i have seen her wear a lot of crosses in some form, and her earrings are rarely simple.

8. tassles and scarves. the tassles go with the boho/biker effect and you can usually find them on her bag, or somtimes on her shirt. i would only do tassles with a bag because for me tassles are to much for myself. and scarves are a really easy way to use some mary kate in your outfit. just make sure its big. doesn't always have to be plain, somtimes there are skulls located on her scarves which i love.

9. skinny jeans and plaid. mary kate will usually resort to a very skinny pant, skinny jeans will always be in for her. you tend to find her in dark wash, even black or grey. but she also loves her plaid. honestly, i think seeing her in plaid rivals the time that you have seen her in black! buy some plaid over sized button ups, they are really cute and have tend to always be in for the fall.

10. skirts and dresses. on the red carpet you can depend on this girl to show up in a form fitting, and to the floor longth gown, on occasion there is a micro sparkly mini thrown in. if this isn't for you because you have passed your prom stage, and you haven't been invited to walk the red carpet then try another trend she loves, maxi skirts. again, anything big and oversized. and while her skirts do fit her, they stick to the big trend of hers. i love maxi skirts they are so simple to wear and so pretty. you can wear them at any time. now you are premitted to wear some nice sandles, or gladiators with this look.

So i hope you all loved my mary kate addition to my blog, and i hope you all think i've hit it right on the head! there a lot of things that make mary kate stylish and i believe i may have hit the tip of the ice burg, but i got a lot of the basics! enjoy! have a great day!
